CUSTOMER RETURN POLICY
1. INTRODUCTION:
1.1. In all of our dealings with our customers, Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd (BH) is committed to fair trading practices and the principles outlined in the Consumer Protection Act, Act 68 of 2008 (‘CPA’).
1.2 BH acknowledges that consumers have certain specified rights in terms of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) as well as in terms of the common law in their dealings with Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd, including the rights of consumers to return goods to Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd in certain specific instances.
1.3. This policy outlines the conditions upon which you could return goods to Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd – explanation:

- The reasons for which you can return goods;
- The period within which you need to return the goods, and
- What your and our duties and rights are when you wish to return goods.

2. SEVEN DAY RETURNS POLICY:
2.1. Although the law does not give you an automatic right to return goods for any reason, Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd will accommodate you if you want to return the goods within 7 (seven) days of delivery, provided that you meet the requirements of this policy, but specifically excluding the goods listed in clause 2.2.3 below.2.2. Rules applying to the 7 (seven) day Returns Policy:
2.2.1. You can only return the goods within the 7 (seven) day returns period if you did not use the goods at all
2.2.2. The goods must also be in its original unopened packaging.
2.2.3. You will not be able to return the following goods during the 7 (seven) day returns period:

- Special order goods (these are goods that we changed, amended or procured for you specifically to meet your specific needs – in other words customized goods and other goods that Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd does not usually stock);
- Goods that we no longer stock.
- Items the manufacturer has discontinued.
- Products that are sold unmarked; or marked broken / reject / Black Cross or as a “mill run” and not clearly stamped to a specific grading standard or expiration date will be sold on an “ad hoc” bases and carry no guarantee or extended warrantee for defects will be carried by Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd – No repairs or replacement.

3.DEFECTIVE GOODS:
3.1. All of our products come with a manufacturer’s defect warranty / expiration date, regulatory grading standards as per product description or manufacturing process and will be checked subject to date of sale or delivery (whichever is later).
3.2. Products that are sold unmarked; a “mill run” and not clearly stamped to a specific grading standard or expiration date will be sold on an “ad hoc” bases and no guarantee / extended warrantee for defects will be carried by Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd – No repairs or replacement.
3.3. If the goods have a defect within the first week of your purchase or delivery to you (whichever is later), we will gladly repair or replace the goods, or if you prefer, we will reimburse the amount you paid for the goods.
3.4. Should the manufacturer’s warranty on the goods you purchased extended beyond their expiration period, we will repair or replace the goods at our discretion (if the defect occurs after the first 7 (seven) days but while the manufacturer’s warranty is still in effect).
3.5. If you request us to repair goods outside of the manufacturer’s warranty period, we will always disclose this information first and then get your authorization before moving ahead with the repairs.
3.6. If the defect in the goods was caused by your abuse as a consumer, normal wear and tear, or negligence, the warranty will be void, and you will not be able to return the goods to us. As a result, you must ensure that the goods are used and stored appropriately.
3.7. You will also be unable to return the goods to us if you failed to follow the instructions for use or guidelines in any other printed material we provided to you in connection with the goods, or if you used the goods for a purpose other than what it was intended for, or if you stored the goods incorrectly.
4. RETURNS PROCESS FOR DEFECTIVE GOODS:
4.1If you suspect a defect in the goods, you must return the merchandise or product to us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the defect.
4.2. You must immediately cease all further use of the goods in order to limit your losses or any further damages.
4.3. Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd will then investigate the matter and conduct the necessary tests on the goods to determine the cause of the defect.
4.4. The company / representative will communicate their findings to you within 14 (fourteen) days of receiving the goods for testing from you.
5. SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF GOODS:
If:
5.1. you purchased the goods for a specific purpose;
5.2. you communicated the purpose to the salesperson;
5.3. the salesperson confirmed that you would be able to use the goods for the purpose you indicated; and
5.4. the goods turn out to be unfit for that specific purpose, you will be entitled to return them within 10 (ten) days.
6. GOODS NOT CONFORMinG WITH THE SAMPLE & DESCRIPTION:
If you ordered goods based on a sample and/or description and did not inspect them prior to ordering, you have 10 (ten) days after delivery to return them if they do not materially conform to the sample.
7. INCORRECT DELIVERY:
7.1 In the event that Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd delivered goods to you that you did not order, we will collect them as soon as possible after you notify us of the incorrect delivery or we notify you in the event of our error.
7.2 In the event of a short delivery, you must notify us of the error without delay, or we will notify you of our error. The person receiving the shortage, as well as Bargain House Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd security or the delivery driver, must sign and stamp all delivery notes or documents to verify and confirm such variance.
8. CHARGES FOR USE / restoration:
8.1. Under current consumer laws, we are permitted to charge you for the use of the goods in certain circumstances, as well as for the cost of reconditioning or restoring the goods for resale or collection fees.
8.2 If you wish to return goods to us for any reason specified in this returns policy or by law, we will notify you of the applicable charges after inspecting the condition of the goods at the time of return.
9. PROOF OF PURCHASE:
If you wish to return goods to us for any reason, we may require that you provide us with the proof of purchase or your copy of the delivery note in order for us to determine and confirm:

- That you bought the goods from us;
- when the goods were bought by you.
- You will be required to be authenticated and be in possession of
- Your Identification documents
- The debit or credit card / proof of bank account provided by you.
10. REFUNDS:
10.1. No cash refunds will be made in-store.
10.3. You will be refunded subject to the law and in the same way that you initially paid for the goods, either by credit card or EFT. Payments may be refunded within 7(seven) working days because BH processes batch payments on a weekly basis.
10.4 You will be required to be authenticated and to have the debit or credit card / proof of bank account that you provided.
10.5. It is your responsibility to provide us with correct banking information in writing, and we will not be liable to you if we make payment to an incorrect bank account that you provided.
